Frieder Bangerter is new Chief Financial Officer of VBH Holding AG

VBH Holding AG, Europe’s largest dealer in building hardware, has appointed Frieder Bangerter (45) as its new Chief Financial Officer. He will join the company on 1 January 2011, taking on responsibility for the areas of Finance, Controlling, IR, HR and IT.

Frieder Bangerter has extensive commercial experience. After completing a banking apprenticeship, he studied Business Administration at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and in 1993 joined the then GEHE AG (today: Celesio AG) as a business graduate in the Controlling department. From 1994, he was responsible for Group accounting before moving to GEHE Pharma Handel GmbH. Mr Bangerter has been managing director there since mid 2000 and is responsible for Finance and IT.

Frieder Bangerter will succeed Dr Ralf Lieb, who left the company on 31 August 2010.
